Sabine Henning

Sabine Henning, who joined Global BioAg Linkages (GBAL) as an associate partner last year, has recently assumed the position of Managing Director of Regulatory and Development Business Unit (RDBU) of GBAL. Huzzah!

Sabine has been in agriculture most of her professional life, specializing in plant pathology and plant protection. She is a vastly experienced person with a trusting mind and excellent skills in regulatory affairs of agrochemicals. Working in the private industry as a freelancer, consultant, as well as a short-term expert, she knows very well the challenging and very complex environment in regulating products—chemicals and biologicals—in Europe for SMEs (Small to Medium-sized Enterprise).

Dr. Henning said, “I am excited to be part of GBAL, a truly global network of local specialists, where I can contribute my vast regulatory experience and passion for sustainability, in a most rewarding way. I will be able to lead this GBAL business in gaining win-win situations, due to my very rational and scientific knowledge which often leads to pragmatic solutions for my clients and authority members.

“In the past, my core team and I were asked to help initialize pre-registration meetings between clients and authorities of the Member States of the European Union and European Commission (MS and EC respectively). We were often involved in the compilation of the registration dossiers, whether it is organizing field study programs, assisting for data requirements under standardized guidelines by the EC, European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) or monitoring field and lab studies. This will all be very useful to help my GBAL prospects.”

As a highly qualified subject matter specialist, Sabine will also lead agenda, content and speaker communication at BioAg World Congress, an event “by the industry, for the industry”.

Roger Tripathi CEO of GBAL said, “I am excited for Sabine to take up this leadership role, it’s one of the most important “verticals” in our Strategic Business Unit (SBU). Sabine always puts her emphasis into simple, straightforward and solution-seeking approaches to fulfill the needs of GBAL clients by developing efficient strategies and flawless execution for long-lasting success. Sabine will also represent GBAL at industry bodies such as European Biostimulants Industry Council(EBIC), International Biocontrol Manufacturers Association(IBMA), and BioProtection Global(BPG). I am confident Sabine will work successfully for this SBU at GBAL.”
